Description

Begin this trail at the parking lot; the trailhead is due north and begins on a floating boardwalk that borders the first wetland you'll see. The trail then takes a sharp right and leads you on the old Miami-Erie Canal towpath for about 0.35 miles. You then take a sharp right and climb a shallow incline to the bird blind which you can immediately see to your left. Take a few moments and enjoy this diversion; if you are lucky, you'll see some amazing birds just past the margin and back towards the Kingfisher pond. After you have your fill of the blind, continue on towards the margin of the woods. During the wet seasons, this path is sometimes very difficult to pass, and wearing shoes you don't mind getting dirty are a must!

Flora & Fauna
