Description

This trail is off the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 418. There is a large parking area. From the parking area, you'll descend on the trail to the flat area in the valley below. The trail west will lead you to the Upper Falls. The trail east will lead you to the Lower Falls. The trail follows Yellowstone Prong for a good distance.

Flora & Fauna

This trail is great at different times of the year. In the spring you'll see flame azaleas, mountain laurels, and rhododendrons in bloom. In the summer there will be an abundance of wildflowers, and fall will bring a riot of fall colors and blueberries along the trail.
