The parking area at the southern end of the trail is small.

Runner Notes

This run is on the steep side, but it's very wide and there are no loose rocks.

Description

This is quite a steep fire road going up the hill, so be sure to take it very easy. This route is commonly used by mountain bikers, so stay alert. Lastly, the fire road doesn't offer any shade, so bringing plenty of water, and sun protection is a must!

The fork taking you off of Rocky Peak Fire Road down the fun Chumash Trail singletrack descent. Keep your ears open for mountain bikers as some advanced riders do descend on this trail.
