Runner Notes

The Backpack/Bridle Trail is also a part of the Bobcat Trail Marathon (neon green blazes). The marathon route continues by getting your feet wet and crossing Sunday Creek.

Description

The yellow-blazed Backpack/Bridle Trail starts from the junction of the Lakeview Trail, Campground Trail, and Red Trail. From the north end of the Lakeview Trail, take the yellow-blazed trail heading northeast. The Lakeview Trail weaves back and forth on several large switchbacks, before descending to near-lake level near the upper reaches of the lake and then running alongside Sunday Creek. The trail reaches its end when it spits out onto a road.

If you stay on the road instead of crossing Sunday Creek, you'll soon reach the Wildcat Hollow Trail trailhead.
