Enjoy a wide gravel path to an overlook of the falls, and then one of two singletracks down to the falls themselves.

Description

This trail begins at the main parking area for Pedernales Falls behind a large informational sign. This trail is part of a number of trails the park simply calls the Pedernales Falls Trail System. Initially, the trail is very wide and made of gravel. It is also very smooth and flat aside from a few water bars. You'll pass a fork that leads to an overlook on the right. Right after the Pedernales Falls Trail, you'll come to a nice overlook of the falls. You'll need to take a few stairs to it. On your left/west, you'll see a singletrack pathway down to the falls. It dumps you out onto a sandbar near the middle falls.

Get there early to beat the crowds. Dogs can easily explore as well (but should be leashed)
