From Santo Antonio do Itambé, locate the gate to the park. From the gate, you'll follow the very well-marked trail to the summit of Itambé Peak. This trail differs from the western Pico do Itambé approach, as this trail is well marked with signs and cairns.

The whole trail is steady uphill but mostly manageable, without scrambling or hard sections. However, at the higher part of the trail, the footing is very technical with loose rocks and irregular footing.
