This trail is popular with mountain bikers, be alert as you run.

Description

Hippie Use the Side Door is the gateway to the Gunsmoke valley and Pine Oasis. It's a 5% or so gradient and you can hurry ahead on the way down (opposite of mapped direction). There are great views of Rainier from the top. The trail heads through sagebrush and during the spring has balsamroot flowers along the sides.
