Description

The Ridge Runner Trail is a multi-purpose use trail that can be enjoyed by hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers, and equestrians. This trail has many sections and follows a part of the Ozark Trail: North Fork Section in the middle. The Ridge Runner Trail extends from Lake Noblett Recreation Area to the North Fork Recreation Area. The majority of the trail features steep terrain with rocky outcrops and bluffs present along the way.

Parking is available at Hwy CC or Lake Noblett. Drinking water is available from April 15 to October 15 at North Fork and Noblett Lake recreation areas. Water from streams and springs must be treated due to high bacterial levels. Water sources along the trail are extremely limited; carrying drinking water is recommended.

Notable sights along the trail include Noblett Lake Dam, Galloway Springs, Horton Cemetery, Blue Hole Hollow, and Steam Mill Hollow. The trail can also be accessed at Mile 13 from Hay Hollow Trailhead. For more information on the trail, click here to download the USFS brochure.
