Description

To get to the Red Trail, follow the sandy White Trail from the start for less than a mile. Turn left at the fence and go through a gate to get to the Red Trail. Head along a firebreak and to the right to start the Red Trail counterclockwise. You'll be following a grassy doubletrack road for a bit, then head onto a sandy road before cutting through the woods on a short singletrack section, over to the main road under power lines.

The trail heads back into the woods after the power lines, through another gate in the fence, and over to another sandy road. Cross a culvert/bridge over Deep Creek, and the trail heads into the woods for a good bit of singletrack. After coming back out on grassy doubletrack, you'll head down to cross Deep Creek again, but this time there's no culvert or bridge. Your feet (or more) may get wet depending on how much it has rained lately.

After the creek crossing, you'll stay in the woods on some nice singletrack before coming to another gate in the fence to cross under the power lines. After the power lines, you'll be back on grassy singletrack to the start of the Red Trail and the intersection with the White Loop. Turn right to head back down the start of the White Loop to the parking area.
