Disconnect is pretty mellow as either a descent or a climb, with no particular challenges. Climbing from east to west (as shown), it starts with a short steeper section followed by a bit of bench that allows you to catch your breath and take in the view that opens up to the east. The trail then turns west again and climbs steadily for its final half at a nice easy grade (by West Bragg standards).

Between them, Disconnect and Reconnect cut-off/connect the west and east side of the old Telephone Loop (via Long Distance), allowing for various loops/lollipop runs.
