Overview
For most people, this is an easy 6 mile round-trip run with little elevation gain and beautiful views at the end. This trail is quite popular and the path is well-worn.
Need to Know
The trail is located about 20 minutes driving northeast of Ushuaia on RN3. Take a taxi, rent a car, or organize a tour from town. It's possible to hitch a ride back to town.
Trail conditions can be muddy, so wear sturdy shoes or boots and don't widen the tread.
Description
This trail is, for many, the most beautiful easy run around Ushuaia. It leads through different vegetation zones, beginning in the young forest, then winding through beaver dams and moors. Just before the lagoon, you'll find untouched Lenga forests. The rugged mountains of the Sierra Alvear and a hanging glacier encircle the enchanting laguna.
In addition, the trail is very simple and suitable for the whole family. The trail is about 4.8 km each way.
