The island is only accessible through Pira Tours. The group size is no larger than 20 people and the trail is set to view Magellanic and Gentoo Penguin rookery.

You cannot touch the penguins and do not put a camera or GoPro in their face.

This is an excellent opportunity to see penguins up close. While there is a set trail the guide takes you on, the penguins roam all around and can get rather close. Make sure your camera is charged up because there are a lot of photo opportunities. I did this tour in 2012 and it cost $100. Now in 2018 the price is $165. Because of the limited number of people permitted on the island and only one tour company allowed to offer tours, chances on another increase are high.
