This short doubletrack begins in Muggio and climbs to the chapel of San Giovanni where there is a great view of the valley. From the main cantonal road, you'll veer to the right and then under the cantonal road. You've got a short descent down to a bridge over the Breggia River and then you climb up to a small chapel of San Giovanni in a clearing.

After the chapel, continue climbing the gravel road veering left at the first intersection after the chapel. This takes you to a grouping of buildings where the Tur Switchbacks begin.
