Description
The trail starts in the northern part of the park at a junction with the
Orange Trail. The
Orange Trail continues under a large blown-down tree where it intersects with the
White Trail (recent trail maintenance has cleared up the obstructions). To the left and right, you can see the hills above you.
The
White Trail heads south, eventually passing an old reservoir (Ancients Pond) before it passes a golf course on the right. At this point, the blazes seem to disappear and there is more than one trail. The best action is to stay near the golf course wall and continue straight ahead. Do not head away from the golf course. Eventually, you'll see the blazes again as you enter the woods.
Beyond the golf course, the trail turns to the east (left) and starts heading uphill. After a good climb, the trail meets the
Red Trail.
