Loysburg Flag Lookout Trail

This trail is a short spur off of the MST - Section 3. Parking is available (but limited) near the intersection of SR 36 and SR 868. This trail is mostly unmarked, but a small sign with an arrow and "flag" mark the beginning of the trail at the junction with the MST - Section 3.

The trail appeared to be well traveled but involves some scrambling. It is a steep grade and many loose rocks and gravel create a slippery surface; caution is advised. Once the summit is reached, a waving flag and gorgeous view are the rewards! A mailbox is present to note runners' visits. Return on the same route.
