- As of 2016, the Tower Road can no longer be accessed directly from the paved roads.
- The trails at Galbraith Mountain are built and maintained by the WMBC - Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition and mountain bikers account for most of the traffic. Runners are still welcome, but many trails are for descending riders only.
Description
The Tower Road is the main arterial on the south side of Galbraith and it's also the quickest way of reaching the summit. On the way to the top, it parallels the Three Pigs (Brick, Stick, and Straw) and intersects with several other trails and roads.
To reach the summit, stay right at both the Blue Rock and Red Rock, and then a left at the Yellow Rock (the yellow rock is hard to spot) after the biker-only Unemployment Line. Finally, take the next left for the final steep climb to the top. There are two more biker-only trails there (Evolution and Scorpion) so runners should either head back down the road or look for
Tower Trail or
Wonderland.
