Runner Notes
Be careful on this trail. There are spots where the narrow trail could make passing hikers dangerous. Please be courteous toward others.
Description
This trail starts at the highest point on
Turnbuckle Trail. It is only a third of a mile and climbs about 200 feet. The trail is in good shape with secure footing, which makes for a stable climb to the top.
The view provides a nice reward for your effort and is arguably the best the park has to offer. When you reach the summit, there are plenty of boulders to climb around and situate yourself on for a good rest before you head back down to
Turnbuckle Trail.
Flora & Fauna
A variety of desert plants and cacti are plentiful. Watch for lizards, squirrels, rabbits, birds, and rattle snakes.
