Runner Notes

Be careful of your footing as the terrain can be steep, uneven, rocky and full of loose gravel in some spots.

Description

This is a must-do run if you’ve already spent the time and energy to run Skyline Crest. It is a mere fifth of a mile in distance with a nice incline to get your heart pumping. The trail is well-marked and in good shape but there is a bit of loose gravel in some spots that could easily cause a slip if you aren’t careful with your footing. The view at the top is worth the effort and there are plenty of rocks to sit on for a rest and a snack.

Flora & Fauna

A variety of desert plants and cacti are plentiful. Watch for mule deer, squirrels, rabbits, birds, and rattlesnakes.
