Description

This short trail will allow you to get to the Lake Somerville Trailway from CR 125. Parking is just alongside the county road, without any formal pull offs or turnarounds. It can be hard to spot if there are no other cars parked there. Don't block the white gate that signifies the beginning of the trail. You still need a park pass to enter here.

This is a doubletrack trail that begins near a creek that is actually Nails Creek, but the forest that you start in prevents many creek views. About halfway along, you'll exit the forest, but the creek has turned east and is now distant for viewing. After about 0.4 miles, the trail ends at the Lake Somerville Trailway, which you can take to many more interesting parts of the park.
