Description
Follow the white blazes or white diamonds. Starting from the east end of Shannon Pond, this trail branches off of
Shannon Brook Trail shortly before the washout. The trail passes through an open field of blackberry brambles.
After passing over a bridge, the main trail descends left, following the brook. On the right, another branch of Brook Walk ascends to the road. The trail descends and passes by multiple waterfalls. Bridalveil Falls and the Falls of Song are among the most noteworthy at the lowest part of the brook.
There is another (unnamed) trail that follows the brook down along the west side of the brook. The trail passes some roads to a large boulder surrounded by a rock wall. I'm not sure what the significance of this boulder is, but it's a nice detour.
The rest of Brook Walk crosses the bridge (below the falls), then ascends a small ridgeline. This area is difficult, especially during the winter. The trail ascends steeply and ends at the
Shannon Brook Trail.
