Need to Know
Given that this section is marshy, there are several wooden plank crossings that go over mud or water.
Runner Notes
This trail alone wouldn't suffice as a full run, but it can be a nice way to add a half mile at the beginning or end of a longer run.
Description
This unnamed green-blazed trail is a short loop off of the gravel Ford Road. If you park in the lot off Old Beach Glen Road, you can access this trail by traveling less than a quarter mile down the
Ford Trail (Red) and making a right at the first sight of green markers. The markers will be pointing right.
Follow the trail down a narrow marsh path and over several wood plank crossings out to a bench overlooking Beaver Brook. This is a nice place to pause and take pictures before moving on. The loop will take you back to the gravel Ford Road where you'll make a left and return to the same place you started.
The maps that are currently provided at the parking areas show this trail as a short hook with a different start and finish, however the trail blazes create a loop. This recorded trail reflects the actual blazes.
Flora & Fauna
Beavers certainly live in Beaver Brook. Even if you don't catch a glimpse of one, you'll likely see their handiwork.
