The trail ends just past the creek crossing (in April, it was an easy cross). Also, beware of poison oak throughout the trail.

A few areas of trail overgrowth require ducking.

This is a lush, shaded trail through the redwood/oak forest (1.5 miles out, 3 miles out and back). The trail parallels a creek for most of the time, giving plenty of opportunities to cross on boulders or downed logs.

It's almost entirely flat, apart from a couple of very short uphill sections. Even on a nice Sunday afternoon, there were only a few other runners on the trail. It's very peaceful and seems far away from the bustling Napa Valley!

Redwoods and oak trees grow in abundance here.
