Description
As mapped, this trail begins at the northwest corner of Haymeadow Drive and Coit Road. There isn't any parking directly at the trailhead, but there is plenty of space along Haymeadow Drive. I would be remiss to omit the fact that there are infinite places to hop on and off this trail as it winds through countless neighborhoods.
Once on the trail it will travel 0.6 miles and make a sharp left hand turn where it continues until you reach Meandering Way. From there it bears due north for the majority of its length. You'll cross a number of busy residential streets, so be sure to the use the designated crosswalks and keep your eyes on little ones.
After the crossing Frankford Road at the north end, the trail will wind back and forth and eventually run along a retaining wall for the 190 Tollway. The trail reaches its terminus at Ohio Drive on the northern end.
Overall this trail is a well maintained, double-lane multi-use trail that typically sees plenty of traffic, especially on the weekends. It's a great place to get to quickly, if you live in North Dallas and want to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.
