Dogs Leashed
Description
West Wetlands is an area of 60 acres along the Colorado River where invasive plants have been removed and replaced with native grasses and trees, notably, Cottonwood trees which had been nearly entirely supplanted by invasive Salt Cedars.
This unpaved multi-use trail is not really singletrack, but a wide, level, graveled path along the river. The trail is lightly used. On a Saturday morning, in nice weather, we passed just one other user. Runners can access the trail from multiple parking options within the West Wetlands Park.
