Runner Notes

Choose whichever of the forks is less crowded so you have to pass fewer people on your run.

Description

If you go to the left instead of right from the parking area at the end of N. Meridian Dr, you take this trail to begin your climb to the saddle. This fork of the trail also provides access to the Pass Mountain Trail if you drop down into a wash, head north about 15 yards, and climb back out.

This trail is mostly flat running across the desert. The trail is mostly wide and has a bit of gravel, but nothing unmanageable. For a short loop with minimal climbing, you can return to the parking area along the other fork of the trail just before you begin the main climb to the saddle.

Look for a fork in the trail. This one is more pronounced than many others.
