Description

Four wheel drive is necessary to access the trailhead. There are very deep ruts, so high ground clearance needed.

There is an official sign at trailhead and a carved stone marker indicating "Rockpile Mountain Wilderness." The trail is a doubletrack dirt path through hardwood forest with rocks and roots along the way. There are a number of downed trees which cross over the trail. Gradually descend into the hollow and make your way across two hills.

The track ends at Madison Road #423
