From the Malyovitsa Mountain School - Yonchevo Lake intersection, take the blue-blazed trail to the right that climbs along the western edge of Yonchevo Lake. After about 300 m (0.2 miles) the trail climbs steeply, sometimes over granite slabs. As the climbing calms down, the trail passes over a series of moraines and grassland that can be bog-like in the early summer. As you approach Scary Lake, the trail climbs again, and some boulder jumping is required.
