This is a short, approximately 0.5 mile, trail that ends at the base of Moon Falls. It is a family-friendly trail with a picnic table at the base of the falls. What Moon Falls lacks in volume of water, it make up for in a 100-foot cascade into rocky Alex Creek. The mist from the falls keeps the local vegetation lush and verdant as well as lowers the temperature in the small grotto significantly. This is a nice treat on a warm day.
