Description

This trail can be accessed from the Parker Trail on the southern end, or a number of smaller trails that stem from the end of the Old Halfway House Trail and branch out to various portions of the trail.

From the base of the trail, you'll quickly hit the Cliff Walk Ladder, which will help you quickly gain elevation. The trail will then gradually rise until you turn north and hit your first steep section, ultimately tapering back off at Hello Rock. The trail will continue to rise across the top of the cliff (hence the name) past several points of interest: Point Surprise, What Cheer Point, and Ainsworth Seat. The trail then turns left at about an elevation of 2290 ft (about 1.0 mi into the trail) and immediately takes you past Thoreau's Seat and Emerson's Seat. Continue up the trail past the Graphite Mine until you reach Kiasticuticus Peak (Bald Rock).
