Trail closes at dusk.
Description
If you start from the campsite, the wide trail will start with a short, fun downslope, rocky and then gravel ...no really...loose rock and then gravel, so be careful on this. Then, it levels out for about a mile. That mile or so is a wide track and even though you might not see any horses, watch out for horse manure :-).
You'll go over two small wooden bridges (I think it's for decoration because i don't see any water under it!). Towards the end of that mile or so, you'll again meet a small downslope and then start climbing at the outskirts of the hills, when you'll come a across a fork.
If you want to follow the main track, you'll need to go left. From there, it's all singletrack to the Tiki Hut.
After the fork, you'll follow the singletrack and then you'll meet a snake trail - zig zag - (up hill from here for about 0.5 mile) then you'll go downhill. At the bottom of the hill, you'll come across a wooden bridge that may be hidden by a big bush.
After that bridge, get ready to climb...it's a doozy, but rewarding when you get to the top as you'll enjoy the beauty. Here, runners take a break under the Tiki Hut and shoot the breeze and move forward.
If you want to follow the main track, you'll need to go right if you are looking at the lake, or left if your back is facing the lake.
CAREFUL now, this is a drop (yes, drop, cause that is how it feels) but it levels out the rest of the way via more singletrack.
