Description
As with most urban linear trails, you have the option to begin in a number of spots along the trail with parking areas dotted in a variety of places. This trail travels on both sides of Duck Creek and travels through mostly shaded hardwoods groves. It is a paved path that is typically double-wide, but does narrow up in some areas. There are a few bumps and inclines as you cross over the creek in a couple of spots. You'll likely encounter a fair amount of bird life as you travel through the forest so bring binoculars or a camera to enjoy the views.
Overall, this is a solid trail in northeastern Dallas County that provides nice shade and well-maintained surroundings that links several local parks, and even a nice fishing pond. It's worth the visit to explore if you live in the area.
