Trinity Trails: Spur to Delga Park

Delga Trailhead has a shaded bench and a water fountain, but no restrooms. The trail to the park does not have shade, although the park offers plenty. The park does not have water or restrooms.

Lots of bike traffic on the Trinity Trails, although less likely on this path.

Wide flat concrete track that has a little rise to it as it winds over to Delga Park. The park itself has a playground, grills, picnic tables/pavilions, and basketball courts.

The Trinity Trails system is over 70 miles of trails connecting multiple neighborhoods and parks, encompassing trailheads, water fountains, low water crossings, kayak launches, equestrians, and gravel trail segments.

The Trinity River teems with life! All kinds of birds including great white and blue herons, cattle egrets, scissortail flycatchers, and other songbirds. The river itself hosts freshwater mussels, turtles, fish, and beavers. Wildflowers bloom consistently through from spring to fall, so there are always bees and dragonflies and damselflies.
