Trails open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. CST; other rules posted at trailheads. Greenway Park rules posted at the park entrance.
Need to Know
Closest trailhead on the same side of the river is Delga TH. Delga TH has water and shade and trash cans but no restroom. Greenway Park does not have water or restrooms. Trinity Trail proper has very little shade, so bring sunblock and plenty of water!
Runner Notes
There is heavy bike activity, so riders will be passing you often.
Description
This wide, flat concrete track that has a little rise to it as it winds over to Greenway Park. The park itself has a playground, grills, picnic tables/pavilions, softball field, and basketball court.
The Trinity Trails system is over 70 miles of trails connecting multiple neighborhoods and parks, encompassing trailheads, water fountains, low water crossings, kayak launches, equestrians, and gravel trail segments.
Flora & Fauna
The Trinity River is full of life! All kinds of birds including great white and blue herons, cattle egrets, scissortail flycatchers, and other songbirds. The river itself hosts freshwater mussels, turtles, fish, and beavers. Wildflowers bloom consistently through from spring to fall, so there are always bees and dragonflies and damselflies.
