Description
This singletrack trail is a pleasant and winding run through large, dense woods. Winding along several small streams, the trail is surrounded by an amazing display of wildflowers in season. There are several small creek crossings; some have logs or stones to aid your crossing.
The first half of the trail is a gentle incline, but as you progress, the trail become more steep and starts to climb away from the streams. The trail climbs steeply until coming suddenly to Bowen Lake. This serene lake is small, but peaceful, and there are several dispersed campsites to be found away from the shores.
After passing the lake, the trail switchbacks up to the ridge to connect to the
Blue Ridge Trail #N20. The view down to Bowen Lake and up toward Cascade Mountain from the ridge is well worth the climb.
