This route starts near the city garden on the southern edge of Samokov near Stadium Iskar. It follows the paved path across the bridge and into the woods. The first 3 km are relatively flat with the trail paralleling the Iskar River. As you start to climb, you pop in and out of the forests crossing meadows that put on a show of the peaks that surround you. After about 8.5km, you finish the journey on a back road that leads you into the Borovets Ski Resort.
