Overview
Asheville NC city park. This is a nice little park within the city that is great for getting some flat trail running practice.
Need to Know
Be sure to protect against ticks and mosquitoes during the spring and summer months.

There are no services at the park. There is a paved parking area.
Description
If you are looking for an easy access local trail with some great singletrack and a nice canopy of deciduous trees, give Richmond Hill Park a try. The primary trail system is called Richmond Hills Trails. But within the park there are additional some additional loops that can added if you want more distance. Richmond Hills Park is a multi-use park that incudes a disc golf course to the northeast of the parking area and mountain bike trails. There are a couple of small stream crossings and a view of the French Broad River on the western boundary.
Flora & Fauna
Large deciduous trees - oak, maple, sweet gum. Deer and possibly black bear. Be aware of timber rattlesnakes and copperhead snakes in the area.
