Description
When pulling into the park, I followed the gravel drive all the way to the barn on the top of the hill. The trail starts slightly down hill from the barn and is marked with a sign “Walking Trail” on the multiple entrances. Along the trail you'll pass many checkpoints throughout the park including a barn full of historic tractors and wagons, an old lumber mill, a Bird Viewing Platform, a boy scout bridge, and a baseball field.
There are many viewing spots along the trail, along with signs identifying the many species of trees you'll pass. The trail is a little over a mile long, making it beginner and family friendly. As far as I can tell there are not any restrictions for dogs.
This trail is part of the Piedmont Platue Birding Trail system.
