Description

Follow the red plastic diamonds.

This trail branches right at the end of the blue-blazed Access Trail. The trail climbs moderately through a rocky hemlock grove. The trail passes Pond Trail (on the left); which provides a more direct route to the marsh. The trail continues on to its junction with Outer Loop and turns left. Here, it coincides with Outer Loop for 20 feet, then they split. The trail continues up to a small ridge along the edge of the marsh, then descends to a small strip of land in-between the water. Shortly after crossing on the bog bridges, Pond Trail will be on the left. The trail descends moderately back to it's starting point.

Flora & Fauna

Fungi: Russula, Milky caps, coral.
Flora: Wintergreen, Beech, Eastern Hemlock, Wild Sarsaparilla, Loosestrife.
