Restrooms are available at the trailhead. The parking lot may fill early, but space also available along Route 93.There are several additional runs from this location.

The trail is uneven in many areas, and the path consists of both dirt and rocky terrain with exposed roots and other tripping hazards for part of the path.

A pretty strenuous start yields to fantastic views of the valley and surrounding mountains. The trail begins with a run through the forest over streams and exposed roots before transitioning to a rocky trail. About halfway through, the trail leads along a ridge line which provides excellent views of the valley below and surrounding mountains. After that, cross a large stream and run across a meadow to reach the lake.
