Description
This trail links the
Blue Trail West with the
Yellow Trail, going through grassy fields and ICC school grounds before going into the main loop.
Trail starts off 0.1 mile past the tree line where it links to the ICC Trail System -
Blue Trail West. The first part of the trail is fairly flat; there are a few ground hazards here and there but you can circumvent these. Once you emerge from the treeline you'll traverse an open field past a landscaped treeline and then around sidewalk railings at the school buildings. You'll continue through a landscaped gully and over more open field until you cross a road and enter woods where the main loop is.
You'll have some descent before picking which way to run the loop. Following the recorded trail to the left, you'll have a fairly easy run until the trail meets up with the ICC Trail System's
Yellow Trail. You'll run on a small segment of the
Yellow Trail, climbing down to cross a foot bridge and then climbing up the other side until you veer right off the
Yellow Trail and back on to the Orange Trail.
This part of the trail is a fairly easy run, though you'll have to watch the occasional thorn branches that a grown across the path like small tripwires. The trail will open up into some thorny bushes on each side until meets back up to the loop start. You'll take the next segment in reverse back to the trailhead.
