Need to Know
Bathrooms are across the bridge, towards Hailey, in the park. Stop by Sawtooth Brewery on River Street after your run.
Runner Notes
The trail is well-maintained and can be easily run. It gets steeper near the summit and requires a little slower pace to navigate the tighter switchbacks.
Description
The trailhead is located right down the road from Highway 75 as it runs through Hailey, ID. There is a small parking lot that can accommodate about 10 cars and is a park across the river that has bathrooms. There is a stream near the trailhead that is commonly fly fished.
The trail is visible from the road and zigzags up the side of the mountain. This route curves back and forth across the face of the mountain. You have increasingly good views of the valley as you make your way up the trail. Once on the ridge, you have a good view down into the Sun Valley area, as well as south towards Bellevue and beyond.
Flora & Fauna
Mostly sage brush.
