The trail starts near the pool parking area. When the gate is closed, trail users are permitted to park in front of the gate on the blacktop according to the sign.

Short and easy trail. There are a few small stream crossings that can be muddy after rain. The trail is very well-marked, mostly flat, and moderately wide throughout.

There are a few small downed trees on the trails and there are multiple small stream crossings but nothing deep enough to get your shoes wet if you're careful. There are rocks on the trail in a few sections that can be slick when wet.
