The trail starts with small run up the mountain that crosses the creek flowing from the lake. The trail then circles the entire lake, offering beautiful views and plenty of wildlife. There are spur trails leading to the shore in multiple areas, which would be great for fishing. I saw plenty of fish, birds, and frogs along the trail, as well as a few trees that had been downed by beavers.

The trail follows very close to the shore, and if the water is high, the trails get swamped in a few areas. After rain, there were two spots in particular where the trail merged with the lake, and it was 4-6 inches deep.
