Need to Know
There is a port-a-potty located in the parking lot at the start/finish line.
Description
Starting from the parking lot just inside the south entrance (56th Street) of Eagle Creek Park, the Orange Trail can be traversed counter-clockwise by heading east. After crossing over Parkway Drive East, the trail continues sharing its path with a vehicle accessible track.
When you come to a 'T' in the track, make a left to make your way to an open field. Follow the path deeper into the field to continue following the Orange Trail. This part of the trail can be very muddy and wet after a light rain. After passing through the field, you'll enter the forest landscape again and pass over Parkway Drive East.
Continue heading west and cross over Eagle Creek Parkway to make your way through the best part of this trail. The trail begins to get a little hilly here in between the
Red Trail pathways. You'll pass the Go Ape Treetop Adventures canopies before you make it to the entrance to the Indianapolis Rowing Club (IRC) driveway entrance. Hook back up with the
Red Trail to make your way back to the parking lot.
