The Hogbacks Open Space is a between Skyline Drive and an outling neighborhood of Canon City. This area is used by the local neighboorhood as a park for kids to ride their mountain bikes and families to stroll.

The Old Skyline Drive trail is an easy doublewide incline through a bit of high desert vegetation and the hogbacks of Dakota Ridge Trail. The trail connects the lower and upper points in the open space. Historic signage along the trail showing history. Great for family outings.
