This run takes you through a variety of landscapes typical of the French countryside. It is very quiet, and you'll hardly encounter a person, but the animals are abundant: cows and horses dot the landscape while birds of prey circle above.

There is a small parking space west of the bridge that crosses la Tardoire River in Le Chambon.

The terrain has wide trails and has small paved sections (through the village). It has some long inclines and descents, and nice stretches through woods and along meadows. The tiny village of Les Defaix in the north is especially picturesque, and friendly cows will happily greet you along the way.

The bottom section near the campsite runs alongside the river, La Tordoire, with a rocky wall of the gorge visible on one side. The trail to the north side of the Chambon camp side is a bit tricky to find as there is a small section that connects two trails that run through private property (I think).
