This trail is often used by people walking their dogs so make sure to keep your dog on a leash. You'll also likely encounter deer.

I believe there is a local running group that runs this weekly in the summer.

This trail is maintained gravel and follows Surface Creek. It is a great trail to run as an out and back as it adds some intensity running back up. There is even a cool feature that the local library added which is a book that appears page by page as you run along the trail, and it is updated monthly in the summer.

This trail can be combined with Old Goat Road to make this a 10+ mile out and back.

The trail is lined with trees and flowering shrubs so is beautiful year round and provides some break from the heat in the summer.
