This trail is shared with horses; beware of horse apples!

Starting from the junction of Vineyard and Wildernest Road, the trail heads east on a gentle tread of sand and pine duff.

At about the halfway point, the Scout Trail heads to the left (north), steeply uphill.

Continuing straight, the trail soon meets up with the Blackhawk Trail. Turn right to head back to Vineyard Road, left to climb the hill, or turn back the way you came to get a little more nice, trail-y goodness without any steep climbs.
