This trail winds up the west face of Bald Hill to the summit. At the top, enjoy superb views of the surrounding Willamette Valley, including Corvallis and Philomath. This is an easier route to the summit than the East Summit, although it is still a heart-pumping climb! The West Summit trail is more wooded than the East Summit, but views are spectacular once you emerge in the clearing in the summit area. Connect with other trails in the Bald Hill Natural Area for a nice loop in the woods just outside of Corvallis. The views are particularly great in the fall. On nice days, expect crowds.
