Need to Know

There are restrooms in the parking lot. Be sure to take plenty of water.

Description

The trail starts from the very long Piestewa Peak Parking Area. On weekend mornings, parking can be a problem. Park as close as you can to the trailhead.

This trail gently climbs from the lot to a pass with the junction for the Mohave Connector Trail #202, then continues to the southwest, to the top of an unnamed peak.

Views from the top are good to the south, and Piestewa Peak dominates to the north.

Flora & Fauna

Typical cactus includes Saguaro, Cholla, and Barrel Cactus. Be alert for rattlesnakes and scorpions.
